I grew up in Logan Heights and was provided the opportunity of attending the Preuss School UCSD and later, the University of San Diego becoming the first in my family to graduate from a higher education institution. Growing up in a high crime and low-income neighborhood, Logan became a heavy part of my identity which I carry with me. When I was younger, I was nervous of mentioning where I was from due to fear that I may be rejected or underestimated. Once that fear was overcome, I flourished and opportunities came which journeyed alongside me the last few years and into my early career.

I was recently promoted to a senior tax associate position at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP which I am very proud of, and hope to soon be working with the forensic accounting team working on investigations and financial crimes. On my free time I love to travel and learn about different cultures. I also have a husky who loves the beach and I try to appease as often as I can. And although it may be harder to commit oneself to more once our career takes off, I made it a goal to immerse myself in organizations that give back to the community in a very direct way. I recently joined the Finance committee at my church which has been going through some financial hardships due to the recent weather.

Being a part of BLCI not as an alumnus but as a member of the board, I feel I can contribute that much more to my community and the students. One of my goals for the future is to inspire younger generations to not only become better humans for themselves but for others by spending their time planning fundraisers for a family who is going through rough times, whatever it may be. BLCI gave me so much and I wish to repay by giving my time in this manner.
