What motivated you to join the BLCI Board?
I joined the BLCI board because upon witnessing the children participating in the program, I am reminded of my younger self. I see young individuals who aspire greatly and set ambitious goals.
How did you first hear of BLCI?
I worked for Union Bank prior to the Conversion with U.S Bank, and I partnered with the BLCI to present a Financial Literacy Workshop.
What is your goal as a BLCI Board Member? What kind of impact do you hope to make? I Aim to Utilize My Finance Background to Assist BLCI with Youth Financial Literacy Programs and Raise Awareness for this Remarkable Non-Profit Organization.
What college(s) did you attend and what did you major in?
I Attended San Diego State University and Majored in Liberal Arts. I aspired to become a teacher, but my career trajectory shifted when I embarked on my banking journey over two decades ago.
What advice would you give to BLCI students about education and why they should pursue it? Persist in their endeavors, have faith in their abilities. It is imperative to acknowledge the inevitable challenges and difficult choices that may arise, yet abandoning one’s education should never be considered.
