BLCI Honor Roll

BLCI Recognizes supporters who contribute $1,000 or more each year as members of the BLCI Honor Roll. These supporters advocate for equal access to education and help break the cycle of poverty by preparing underserved students to be the first in their families to attend – and graduate – college.

Members enjoy the special privilege of a private tour and organizational update with BLCI CEO, Sara Boquin, as well as a fall kickoff event to meet BLCI seniors and hear from our students directly the impact you are making with your support.

Additional Information:

  • Cumulative donations are recognized and can be comprised of multiple contributions or annual pledges.
  • Donations must be comprised of tax-deductible general contributions for inclusion. Event tickets or auction items, while appreciated, are not recognized as Honor Roll contributions.
  • Matching gifts count for recognition purposes, with the donor getting credit for the donation amount in its entirety.
  • BLCI’s Honor Roll recognizes individual donors only.
  •  The year is defined by the date the gift was made and is recognized within a 12-month period.
  • Join online or contact Erin@BLCI.org to make arrangements for a pledge or transfer from a donor advised fund

Why Your Giving Is Important:

To date, 100% of students who participated in BLCI’s College and Career Readiness Program have graduated high school and pursued secondary education. This stat is well beyond the 64% of youth in San Diego who enter college within six months of graduation. When you add your name to the Honor Roll, you will provide critical intervention to ensure that disadvantaged youth have the tools and resources they need to be successful in school and beyond.

“I would not be where I am today if I had not had BLCI in my life for the past 10+ years. It has shaped me as an individual, as a professional, and taught me to continue to stay hungry for anything that comes my way.” Krystal, BLCI Alumna Class of 2018

“As a kid growing up, college has always been the goal for me and my family which is why they always pushed me to be better so I could pursue my dreams and get a higher education. Over the last couple of years, this dream of going to college would only get closer and closer and now it’s finally here. Thank you for making a difference in my life.” Jaaziel, Class of 2023

“I am grateful for all the amazing experiences they [BLCI] have provided and the unlimited opportunities I have received. Everything from college application help, college trips and theater experiences. I am grateful to have been exposed to college from such a young age in both knowledge and college tours. They [BLCI] made me believe I could go to college.” Jacqueline, Class of 2024
