Priscila Cervantes

SDPN Tutor

Priscila Cervantes was born and raised in Southeast San Diego. She completed her undergraduate education as a transfer student at UC San Diego in 2022. There, she earned her B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Human Rights & Migration. Priscila has an extensive background in community engagement, having previously dedicated her efforts to working with Tijuana’s border communities and contributing to a Family Literacy Program at the San Diego Public Library. Throughout her academic journey, Priscila actively participated in college readiness programs, including Reality Changers, EOPS, TRIO, and Latinx-based mentorship initiatives. These experiences deepened her appreciation for and dedication to advocating for student services, particularly for first-generation and underrepresented students. Driven by a keen interest in understanding the impact of social inequalities on academic outcomes, Priscila actively seeks to challenge and address these inequities within the realm of education.
