Originally hailing from Boston, MA, Matthew moved to San Diego over 12 years ago. One of three siblings, and the son of two educators, the importance of education was stressed his entire life. Matthew has over a decade of experience in education, and has held positions in Title IX Offices, Policy/Project Management, Student Services, Student Affairs, Academic Records, Regulatory Affairs, DEI, Compliance and External Affairs. Matthew previously served as a senior leader at National University, TCS Education, and Alliant International University.  He has also held positions working for the City of Boston and for renewal energy trade association groups in Washington, DC. 

Matthew earned his Master of Public Policy graduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, as well as his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeastern University.  He has provided consultation and training for several Institutional Boards and senior leadership teams on operations and compliance.
