Haziel was born and raised in San Diego and is the first member of her family to receive a college degree. Haziel graduated from Cuyamaca College with an Associate’s in History and Sociology. Afterward, she transferred to UCLA and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History. Haziel is a proud first-generation Chicana who aspires to teach and learn with others.
