Omar Garcia serves as the El Cajon Soccer Coach. He was born in Oxnard, California, and raised in San Diego, California. He is a first-generation Latino student who joined the Barrio Logan College Institute in the third grade. Omar attended the University of California Berkeley and majored in Architecture. Growing up in Logan Heights and as a BLCI student sparked a passion for giving back to the community which brought him to join as the El Cajon Soccer Coach. Prior to this, he worked at an architectural firm called Primary Design as an architectural drafter and continues drawing and reviewing architectural plans. He hopes to help create a stronger community at the El Cajon site through the soccer program.
