Assistant General Counsel

John A. Pacheco is an Assistant General Counsel at San Diego Gas & Electric Company (“SDG&E”). Since joining SDG&E in 2007 as a Senior Counsel, Mr. Pacheco’s practice has focused on regulatory law issues before the California Public Utilities Commission and other regulatory bodies.  Currently, Mr. Pacheco leads SDG&E’s regulatory law group of lawyers and staff.  Prior to joining SDG&E, Mr. Pacheco practiced civil litigation at Morrison & Foerster for over a decade, representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters as well as pro bono matters. 

Mr. Pacheco earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor degree from the U.C. Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
