With over 8 years of nonprofit experience, Carolina has dedicated her professional career to empowering youth and their families through social-emotion support and educational advancement. Originally from Ecuador, Carolina immigrated to the U.S. with her family at a young age. She grew up in Maryland where she discovered her love of community service and went on to attend college at the University of San Diego. In 2011 she received her B.A. with a double major in Sociology/Political Science and a minor in French.
She is passionate about helping communities provide opportunities for our next generation of change makers and pay forward the support and opportunities she was fortunate enough to receive. Carolina has worked in various capacities in the nonprofit world including as a Youth Development Counselor, Development Assistant, and Program Manager, and is excited to continue her work and utilize these experiences on the Operations Team at BLCI.
