Peer to Peer

“Being a first-generation college student, the path to college isn’t very simple. You don’t necessarily have a lot of resources or opportunities. My parents understood that and that’s why they enrolled me in BLCI, and through that a lot of opportunities opened up.” -Daniel Mendoza, BLCI Alumni

Get Involved by Fundraising!

Celebrate your birthday, challenge your peers or honor a loved one by starting your own fundraiser for BLCI!

When a BLCI student goes to college, it has a ripple effect: their siblings, peers and community members in underserved situations are shown that higher education is possible for all, and are motivated to work hard to get a degree.

While we continue to send 100% of our students to college, more are waiting for their opportunity. Your fundraiser will help us transform lives for years to come.

How It Works

  1. Start a Fundraiser: Celebrate a birthday, challenge your co-workers, honor a loved one. Your idea. Your inspiration. Your choice.
  1. Spread the Word: Tell people why you are supporting BLCI. Make it personal to make it powerful. Ask them to donate.
  1. Transform Lives: Experience the power of joy when you help a first-generation student go to college. Celebrate knowing you made it possible.
