Rising operational costs have led to a 30% increase in expenses, raising the cost of a year of programming from $5,000 to $6,500 per student. As first-generation college students, BLCI youth lack generational access to college readiness. Being \u201cthe first\u201d means they can\u2019t rely on familial support and prior experience to help them navigate the path to college. This is where BLCI comes in. In the College and Career Readiness Program, we empower at-risk youth and their families to build confidence and develop essential life and educational skills, supporting their goal of becoming the first in their family to attend\u2014and graduate from\u2014college. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
